Salary: QAR 1570 per month (based on experience and qualification).
Job Overview:
The Electrician (P&M) will be responsible for performing electrical installation preventive maintenance and repair tasks for plant and machinery (P&M) within the shipyard and industrial facilities. The role requires technical expertise in handling electrical systems ensuring equipment reliability minimizing downtime and maintaining operational safety and efficiency.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical maintenance troubleshooting and repair of plant and machinery equipment.
Install inspect and maintain electrical wiring control systems and fixtures.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operation of machinery.
Diagnose faults and replace faulty electrical components in motors panels and circuits.
Read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures.
Monitor machine performance and coordinate with supervisors to plan maintenance schedules.
Maintain maintenance records and daily reports accurately.
Adhere strictly to health safety and environmental (HSE) policies at all times.
Support electrical installation and commissioning work as required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related technical field.
Experience: Minimum 36 years of experience in plant and machinery electrical maintenance (P&M) within industrial or shipyard sectors.
Gulf experience preferred.
Must have experience working with heavy industrial machines and electrical systems.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems used in plant and machinery operations.
Expertise in troubleshooting maintenance and installation of electrical components.
Familiarity with motors control panels PLC systems and power distribution.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Understanding of industrial safety standards and safe work practices.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic English communication required; Arabic is an advantage.
