Job Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor (Lifting & Transport) will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the maintenance inspection and repair of lifting equipment cranes vehicles and transport machinery. The role ensures that all lifting and transport operations are conducted safely efficiently and in compliance with company and international safety standards.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities for lifting equipment mobile cranes forklifts and transport vehicles.
Plan schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Ensure all equipment is properly inspected certified and maintained to operational standards.
Coordinate with operators and drivers to report and resolve equipment issues promptly.
Review maintenance logs inspection reports and service records for compliance.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement for maintenance needs.
Lead a team of technicians and mechanics ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
Conduct regular toolbox meetings and enforce HSE compliance within the team.
Collaborate with the plant operations team to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Prepare daily and weekly reports on maintenance performance and equipment availability.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum 58 years in maintenance supervision of lifting and transport equipment in industrial shipyard or oil & gas environments.
Hands-on experience with cranes forklifts trailers and heavy transport vehicles.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems lifting gear and mechanical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with inspection standards such as LOLER and ISO lifting regulations preferred.
Experience in Gulf or overseas maintenance projects is an advantage.
Required Skills:
Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
Excellent understanding of maintenance planning and safety protocols.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and maintenance manuals.
Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure.
Good communication and reporting abilities.
