We are hiring a Basic Grade Radiation Therapist(Contract/full-time):Maternity Leave Locum in a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Responsibilities
Perform safe accurate delivery of radiation therapy treatments as prescribed.
Operate linear accelerators and other radiotherapy equipment in accordance with protocols.
Carry out CT simulation and planning procedures under supervision.
Verify patient identity treatment parameters and positioning before each session.
Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to any issues.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatments delivered.
Assist in treatment planning by preparing immobilisation devices and scanning protocols.
Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety procedures.
Provide high-quality compassionate care to patients undergoing radiotherapy.
Explain treatment procedures clearly to patients and address any concerns.
Observe and report patient physical or emotional changes to senior staff.
Support a patient-centred approach ensuring comfort respect and dignity.
Participate in quality assurance procedures for equipment and processes.
Report equipment faults immediately and follow escalation procedures.
Adhere to infection prevention and control guidelines.
Requirements
BSc in Therapeutic Radiography/Radiotherapy
Registered on the Radiation Therapists Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by CORU
Possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and professional competence for effective performance of the role
Strong communication and articulation skills with the ability to multi-task
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
