This rolewill report to our Shanghai China officeservingourglobalLab Automationbusiness unit.We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement of office and remote working. As an Automation Integrator you will construct integrate and install custom crafted automation systems for the pharma and bio-pharma research industries at some of the most prominent research laboratories in the Asia Pacific region. You will bethe team member forthe successful completion of projects while upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics high standards for quality.

What you will contribute:

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with multi-functional project teams thatincludethe customerProject ManagersAutomation Specialist Designers Software Developmentsto plan anddevelop anETO solutionto achieve the agreed requirements

• Provide suggestions and highlight any concerns to the team including Designers R&D Software/Hardware and Project Managers

• Participatingin peer training among the IntegrationTeams

• Share feedback to the Operations and R&D teams to help drive and implement continuous improvements

Technical

• Lead the construction of system platforms safety guarding andenvironmentalcontainment enclosures

• Integration of sophisticated laboratory instrumentsincluding testing of communications

• Perform IQ/OQvalidation testingandrecording of evidence to satisfyGxPrequirements

• Teach movers and multi-axis robotsutilizingour companys market leading scheduling software andvalidateall pick/place positions for smooth efficient and repeatable operation of the system

• Implementsoftwareworkflowsand successfullycompletesite acceptance testing(SAT)to achieve customerapproval on smallintegration systems

• Identifyand record changes to Bills of Materials and Work Instructions

• Identifyany part non-conformances and help implement the countermeasures

How will you get there

Education:

• Technology diploma in Mechatronics Electro-mechanical engineering Electrical or Mechanical engineering orrelated field of study

Experience:

• 5yearsof proven experience in automation integration or a related field

• 2 years in a role directly collaborating with customers in a professional environment

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficiency in understanding and following mechanical and electrical drawings

• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Familiarity with testing and measuring instruments

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Professional presence both with the customer and internal departments

• Strong organization planning and time leadership skills

• Proficient software skills in Microsoft Office suit of applications

• Familiarity with ERP systems considered an asset

• Fluent English speaking and writing skills other languages are considered an asset

Other Requirements:

• Valid Passport

• Ability to travel 75% of the timeinternationallywithout restrictions
