A Brief Overview
Care for children by creating a safe developmentally appropriate environment that supports their physical cognitive and emotional needs with hands on interaction. Build a partnership with families and co-workers to best support the children in our to children at schools businesses private households and childcare institutions. Perform a variety of tasks such as dressing feeding bathing and overseeing play.
What you will do
- Daily care of the children. Diaper changing potty training preparing and serving meals and snacks. Providing supervision by hands on interaction with the children. Support Childrens emotional and social development encouraging positive behavior. Maintain a safe enviorment.
- Maintain a positive relationship with families. Maintaining Daily communication by enter daily care items into Procare Parent Engagement App.
- Recognize common childhood diseases. Recognize physical and emotional abuse.
- Collaborate with teaching staff. Take instruction from supervisors and Room Leads.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) H.S. Diploma or GED prefered Preferred
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability personality and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment policies procedures and strategies to promote effective local state or national security operations for the protection of people data property and institutions.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and the measurement of training effects.
- Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
- Being aware of others reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.
- The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
- The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support & First Aid - American Heart Association within 60 Days Required
- Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter - Iowa Department of Human Services within 180 Days Required
- Drivers License Preferred
Will become eligible to drive company shuttle van at age 21. If this is an expectation for the individual a valid drivers license will be required then.
