Job Description:
Seeking an individual to provide a wide variety of mechanical assembly operations on electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. This position requires skilled mechanical hand work and/or the use of automated production equipment. Must work well with others and is ready to help the team meet customer commitments. Must be able to communicate status and issues to the Assembly Manager in English. Must have basic computer navigation skills to be able to work from detailed electronic work instructions that are provided in English. Willing to work overtime when required.
Essential Functions:
- Operate various types of manufacturing equipment (air drivers/drills rivet guns drill presses etc.) with proper training
- Preparation and application of various adhesive materials using a scale
- Work with small hardware components (screws rivets washers nuts)
- Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to during and after assembly
- Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards. Maintain assembly & quality records/paperwork as required.
- Basic computer navigation skills
- Read and write in English
- Communicate status and issues to the Assembly Manager in English
- Learn and work in a fast-paced flexible production environment
- Work overtime as needed
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to perform basic soldering
