Schedule: 25 Hours/Week: Cyclic: 11 months(Pay will be 62.5% of range)
5% King County Premium Pay will be added to the salary

The coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of simulator appointments working with the Faculty and Aviation Program Manager on recruiting marketing and other general program needs.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
Green River Colleges student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students 34% Professional-Technical students 15% Adult Basic Education student and 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses including the main campus in Auburn Washington with satellite campuses in Kent downtown Auburn and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college) those seeking retraining for the workforce international students students learning English and Continuing Education students. Position Responsibilities



  • Coordinate simulator appointments using Flight Schedule Pro
  • Coordinate the tracking of flight hours using the flight simulators
  • Attend and assist with taking minutes for department advisory board and faculty meetings
  • Assist with the development of promotional materials
  • Network with industry professionals and attend industry conferences and events as needed
  • Work with the program manager to give campus tours and equipment demonstrations to visitors and potential students
  • Attend external events to help with program promotion and recruitment
  • Coordinate scheduling with part-time simulator technicians to cover all necessary appointment times
  • Other duties as assigned including some evening and weekend hours
  • Work with the Aviation Program Manager to accomplish any additional marketing advising and other general program needs

Qualifications

  • Associates degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; social media and/or marketing experience is a plus
  • Proficient Computing Skills Including the use of MS Office
  • Experience working in a customer/student facing position preferably at a school college or university
  • Ability to work evenings if necessary
  • Interest in and/or willingness to learn about Aviation professions and career paths
  • Experience working with diverse communities; ability to communicate and work respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds such as racial ethnic religious linguistic gender age sexual orientation socio-economic and with diverse physical and learning disabilities

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Must have the ability to sit for prolonged period of time at a desk/computer workstation
  • Frequent repetitive arm hand and finger motions
  • Work in an office setting with frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • May need to carry lift or move equipment/supplies up to 20 lbs
  • Work schedule: 5 Hours/Day 25 Hours/Week Total ideal schedule is between 11a-5p.
  • Term of Position: Cyclic: 11 months
