What will you be doing

The HR Specialist Immigration & Global HR Operations is a key member of Circanas Employee Delivery Organization (EDO). This role supports both regional and global HR processes with a primary focus on immigration case coordination compliance and execution of end-to-end HR operational activities. The Specialist partners closely with HR Business Partners Global Mobility Legal and external counsel to manage U.S. and Americas-based immigration cases while contributing to scalable global HR process improvements.

Job Responsibilities (inclusive but not limited to):

Immigration Case Management (approximately 40%)

  • Serve as the primary driver and coordinator for U.S. and Americas immigration activities (H-1B TN L-1 PERM dependent visas etc.) in partnership with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
  • Track visa expirations initiate extensions and ensure timely compliance with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records within HR systems (UKG Atlas and document repositories).
  • Support communication with employees and managers regarding immigration timelines documentation and status.
  • Improve overall Immigration Playbook by ensuring the use of benchmarked standards relative to maintaining a sustainable immigration strategy.
  • Critical focus on Talent Acquisition activities where immigration requisitions serve as the vehicle to ensure best-talent joins Circanas organization local.
  • Begin to map a true Global Mobility program; this role has capability to shift into a Sr. HR Specialist to drive Global Mobility strategy across our three macro-regions.
  • Create and drive appropriate metrics to measure the business and people impact of our immigration strategy.
  • Serve as a liaison between Global HR Operations Legal and Global Mobility.
  • Provide insights and feedback on system and process enhancements that improve the employee and HR experience.
  • Contribute to HR operations metrics and service-level adherence for assigned processes.

Global Process Standardization and Coordination (approximately 40%)

  • In partnership with the Global HR Operations Leadership coordinate document and implement AMCS and Global footprint workflows processes and HR technology improvements
  • Coordinate with Global HR Ops team to review identify and implement global efficiencies and consistencies through creation of Standard Work/Standard Operating Procedure.
  • With guidance from HR Operations Leadership create and standardize HR Ops-specific templates and protocols based on best-practice for country-specific processes and activities.
  • Communicate and align with leadership to verify compliance in all HR operations practices and activities.
  • Participate as a project coordinator for critical HR audits relative to HR Operations practices through the establishment of scorecards and internal review.
  • Provide oversight and support for the filing of annual HR compliances and critical audits (both internal and external)
  • At the direction of HR Operations leadership coordinate internally to document and review governance frameworks documentation standards and version control processes.
  • Coordinate at peer-level with global team members in EMEA and APAC where global process dependencies exist.
  • Champion continuous improvement and lean methodology.

Core HR Operations Support (approximately 20%)

  • Execute employee life cycle transactions (hires terminations transfers data changes) with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with regional HR teams to ensure global process alignment and adherence to Circanas HR Operations Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Assist with data audits reporting and process documentation for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on process standardization initiatives and play a role in testing and validating system or policy changes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest quality employee experience

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in HR operations HR shared services or global mobility.
  • 2 years of prior experience managing U.S. immigration cases required.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and case management tools (e.g. UKG ServiceNow/Atlas or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of U.S. visa classifications and employment-based immigration processes.
  • Language: Advanced English and Spanish required.
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience communicating with employees and external counsel professionally.
  • Comfortable operating within a matrixed global organization and collaborating across time zones.

Location

This role is based in Mexico. You must sign your offer contract in person at Circanas Mexico City office on your first day. This role can be fully remote with the flexibility to work business hours in Eastern or Central time zones.

The range below reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is up to $647000 MXN annually which is a gross salary (before taxes and deductions). This is equivalent to approximately up to $53900 MXN monthly (gross). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits to eligible employees in Mexico.
