A Day in the Life
The Global Salesforce Commercial Platforms IT team at Medtronic is a globally distributed strategic organization focused on delivering scalable and impactful Salesforce solutions that support commercial excellence across the Americas EMEA and APAC regions. The team partners closely with business units and enterprise functions throughout the entire Salesforce delivery lifecycle from demand intake and solution architecture to deployment governance and continuous improvement. With a strong culture of agile innovation and cross-functional collaboration the team empowers commercial teams through transparent processes and a commitment to human-centered design.As a Principal Salesforce Solution & Platform Architect you will play a key role as a strategic technical advisor driving the expansion and optimization of Salesforce capabilities across Medtronics global commercial landscape. Youll work closely with both business and IT partners to establish and implement best practices for scalable and sustainable Commercial Enablement solutions ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and minimizing technical debt. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on solution development requiring strong problem-solving abilities organizational agility and the capacity to coach and guide teams in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

- Serve as a thought leader on the Global Salesforce Commercial Platforms IT team providing architectural guidance and expert technical assistance to admins and developers and maintaining a deep understanding of Salesforce products to advise partners and internal teams
- Implement new experience solutions independently or as part of a delivery team set them up for success and scalability and support enhancements or expansions of current Salesforce implementations in collaboration with Commercial Business and IT partners
- Provide level of effort estimates articulate solution benefits and risks and conduct enablement sessions for Commercial Enablement teams; support user acceptance testing and ensure business requirements are met
- Proactively identify and escalate potential issues and risks partnering with stakeholders for mitigation and resolution
- Coach and mentor junior technical and functional team members and participate in establishing best practices templates policies and tools to expand and mature team capabilities
- Support projects through all solution design phases maintain the overall Solution Architecture framework and work with partners on new Salesforce product evaluations and recommendations.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelors degree required with 7 years of experience (or 5 years with an advanced degree) including previous Medtronic experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience with strong understanding of the Salesforce product suite (Health Cloud Sales Cloud Service Cloud Marketing Cloud Community Agentforce) and configuration skills; experience applying Apex Visual Force and other customization options
- Demonstrated ability to define system architecture landscapes identify gaps and deliver comprehensive solutions to achieve business outcomes; proven experience in enterprise-level Salesforce projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Strong knowledge of data management and analytics; ability to design optimize and integrate business processes across disparate systems
- Thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments with shifting priorities; able to prioritize multi-task and work with limited definition
- Excellent interpersonal presentation verbal and written communication skills.
