About the Role
Boliden Tara Mines is currently recruiting a HR Business Partner specialising in Industrial Relations to join our HR team on a full-time or part-time basis in Navan Co. Meath.
This is a specialist position reporting to the Head of Section for HR that will play a key role in shaping and delivering our employee and industrial relations strategy. Operating within a highly unionised environment the ideal candidate will be a confident advocate capable of leading complex negotiations advising on employment law and resolving disputes through a clear and structured framework.
A central part of this role is to develop and maintain constructive trust-based relationships with union representatives enabling collaborative solutions that support both compliance and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or advise on internal negotiations with trade unions and employee groups supporting effective collective bargaining strategies.
Foster and maintain positive constructive relationships with employee representatives with a focus on long-term industrial harmony.
Provide expert advice on disciplinary grievance and investigation processes aligned with recognised codes of practice.
Represent the organisation at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) and Labour Court where required.
Provide strategic guidance on employment law matters including contracts redundancy working time dismissal DEI and work-life balance initiatives.
Lead the development and implementation of industrial relations frameworks and HR policies aligned with legislation and best practice.
Monitor and interpret changes in Irish and EU employment law case law and WRC decisions ensuring internal policies remain compliant and up to date.
Draft and manage HR documentation including contracts letters forms and checklists and ensure robust record-keeping to support legal and regulatory requirements.
Engage and support with ongoing HR Projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
A degree in Human Resources Employment Law Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
In-depth knowledge of Irish employment law and industrial relations supported by formal qualifications or equivalent experience.
Proven experience working in a unionised environment managing both collective and individual ER/IR issues.
Strong negotiation mediation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence and advocate in high-pressure environments.
Demonstrated experience representing organisations before the WRC and Labour Court.
Highly professional resilient and discreet in managing sensitive or contentious matters.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including policy and documentation drafting.
Additional Information
This position is offered on a full-time or part-time basis (a minimum of 3 days per week).
Flexibility may be required in line with operational needs.
