Job Summary

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst you will support systems applications reports and data for middle and back office operations of Thrivents Asset Management Division. You will join a Scrum Team that includes Business Systems Analysts Application Engineers a Product Owner and a Scrum Master. This is an influential role with high visibility working closely with business partners requiring strong collaboration business analysis ownership and quality assurance acumen to effectively support Mutual Fund Accountings business priorities deliver value and drive impactful change

Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Designing Solutions

    • Review analyze & evaluate complex business systems applications processes data and user needs

    • Define and refine user and functional requirements to guide development work

    • Create complex and detailed visual representations using diagrams maps and models to enhance analysis understanding and communication

    • Ensure that solutions align with business objectives and user needs

    • Drive change that is focused on maximizing business value and meeting user needs

    • Accountable for compliance with applicable laws rules and regulations

    Quality Assurance

    • Design and execute complex test strategies plans and cases

    • Identify and communicate the root cause of issues and defects

    • Lead efforts to resolve issues and defects

    • Establish and maintain effective and efficient testing methods tools and procedures

    Data Management

    • Establish and maintain high standards of data quality and integrity

    • Act as a Technical Data Steward as part of Asset Managements Data Governance Strategy

    • Contribute to maturing data management practices

    • Conduct complex data research and mining to support business decisions

    Team Collaboration

    • Actively contribute to product planning and implementation

    • Lead developers in defining and decomposing work by creating user stories tasks and acceptance criteria

    • Drive team development maturity and accountability

    • Provide advanced business expertise and analysis to solve problems and remove roadblocks

    Collaboration with Stakeholders and Business Partners

    • Drive effective and efficient communication and interactions for your team with stakeholders and business partners

    • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders

    • Actively develop a deep understanding of key business systems applications processes and data

    • Work with subject matter experts to understand capture and communicate complex business and user requirements

    Additional Business Support

    • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to intake diagnose and support resolution of business issues

    • Build and support business reporting

    • Create and execute complex SQL queries

    Driving Growth and Building Talent

    • Seek out opportunities to learn new techniques approaches and technology to enhance our product

    • Actively identify and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $88132.00 - $119236.00 per year which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to location relevant experience skills and knowledge business needs market demand and other factors Thrivent deems important.
