Caterpillars Resource Industries Sales Services & Technology (RISST) team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis. This role will directly support the Americas Go-To-Market VP. This highly motivated individual will also provide leadership to the business related to strategy and analytics focused on driving profitable growth to Resource Industries. This position will work closely with other workstreams and functional areas across Resource Industries.

What You Will Do:

  • Business partner and trusted advisor to the Americas Go-to-Market Market VP and organization.
  • Be a strategic thought partner with the Go-to-Market leadership team to profitably grow the business to achieve its 5-year strategic plan.
  • Drive business decisions through insightful analysis of customer needs and product profitability.
  • Provide business insights and support for the Resource Industries Go-to-Market (Commercial) organizations including pricing sales variance and variable margin analysis and support/proposal profitability analysis.
  • Commercial support including pricing and sales variance strategy deal support and recommendation.
  • Drive strategy surrounding the organizations analytics and tools aimed at supporting profitable growth.
  • Business partner and trusted adviser supporting Large Deal Analysis within the Americas.
  • Provide guidance and governance surrounding the Go-To-Market period costs (SG&A) through thoughtful analysis and recommendations.
  • Analyze and critique information for conformance with US and local GAAP corporate guidelines and reasonability levels.

What You Have:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and/or 10 years equivalent experience
  • Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices financial analysis and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the companys business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of big picture thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
  • Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.

  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Ability to present in a concise and impactful manner to all levels of management.

Summary Pay Range:

$156000.00 - $234000.00
