For REWE digital Spain a subsidiary of REWE Group located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga we are looking for aBackend Engineer. You will join theProduct Layout Management teamand will support us in the creation of the Store Layouting business area. Store Layouting comprises the overall concept and division/sizing of the sales areas or sections within a store including the design and placement of merchandise on the shelves as well as the presentation and arrangement of items (groups).

As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems we plan develop configure and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around390000 employees.

Our team of more than2200 IT specialistssets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new technologies for the sector. Today we manage more than 80 logistics centers and more than 23000 local network connections to ensure the continuous supply of data to the 32000 scanner checkout counters in more than 7300 stores.

What you will do:

Working cross-functionally in an agile product team on Google Cloud Platform (serverless).
Designing programming QA and code documentation with a backend focus.
Planning architectures and contribute with your ideas.
Analysing requirements as well as system design and programming.
Configure and deploy systems with corresponding

What you will bring:

Degree in Computer Sciences or several years of experience (at least 4 or 5) in a similar position.
Several years of experience in SQL and Java.
Experience with Cloud computing and messaging systems (Kafka JMS or MQ)
Good knowledge of CI/CD
Experienced in microservices and containers (Docker and Kubernetes)
Excellent problem-solving skills and starving eager to keep learning and touching exploring new languages and frameworks such as Kotlin and Quarkus.
Complete fluency in English language skills.
Nice to have:
- German language skills
