Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.

About the role:

Hume now calls for applications for the position of Library Assistant. This position will be full time (1.0) ongoing and based at our Donnybrook campus. The role will commence on Tuesday 27 January 2026 and will be ongoing and offers 6 weeks paid annual leave and 7 weeks leave without pay per annum.

The Library Assistant supports the smooth operating of the library. They report to the Teacher Librarian and manage the circulation desk the loaning of books and maintain a professional and welcoming library environment. They support the rest of the library team in fostering a love of reading amongst students.

Requirements of the Role:

• Current Working with Children Check
• Highly proficient computer skills in the MS Office suite including Outlook and Word
• Current/Valid Australian Drivers Licence
• Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role

• Experience working in a school or similar setting
• Experience with the Oliver software package
• Awareness of and familiarity with the Dewey Decimal System
