Job Overview

Contextual AI is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to be part of the GTM team. This team is responsible for selling into Global 2000 organizations deploying generative AI solutions in production. As a Forward Deployed Engineer youll be a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert for our prospects and customers understanding requirements designing demos and driving business value. Youll accomplish this by working closely with customers to identify use cases scope out needs design pipelines and help drive the adoption of Contextual AIs technology.

You will be a subject matter expert on AI industry trends and best practices. You will work directly with customers to align Contextual AIs products to their top use cases. You must be ready for technical discussions with engineers and demonstrate the value of Contextual AI in business discussions with directors and executives. You will help distill feedback from customers and help improve Contextual AIs products while working with the product and engineering team.

What youll do:

• You will own the technical aspects of the sales cycle driving the technology evaluation processes to highlight Contextual AIs differentiation clarify the business value to the customer and ensure our customers success with our products
• You will act as a trusted advisor to our customers while also building relationships with technical stakeholders.
• Scope customer trials and projects. Work with the engineering and product teams to design and implement POC requirements that satisfy customer needs but are also technically feasible.
• Create and deliver specialized technical demos according to the customers.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer - Regularly engaging them on status calls educating on product roadmap and QBRs and managing escalations while influencing our roadmap in partnership with our Product team.
• Interpret complex problems create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions.

What were seeking:

• Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field (Masters or Ph.D. preferred).
• Experience working in enterprise SaaS AI/ML infrastructure or similar industries in a technical capacity with end-customer engagement
• Proficiency in data infrastructure and modern machine learning tools (e.g. PyTorch TensorFlow transformers).
• Proficiency with coding languages Python Typescript or similar languages at a production level.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance and support in customer calls & interactions addressing product usage needs and resolving issues
• Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to demonstrate professional polish and a high level of technical credibility when speaking with both executives and engineers
• Self-starter and ability to operate independently and at high-velocity
• Clear customer empathy and intellectual curiosity

Location: Mountain View CA or remote within the USA

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $160000 - $250000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience location and other factors permitted by law).
