Job Summary

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nations oldest and largest public housing authority with more than 152000 apartments and over 370000 residents. NYCHAs mission is to provide quality housing for New Yorkers that is sustainable inclusive and safe while fostering opportunities for economic mobility. NYCHA also administers a citywide Section 8 leased housing program that serves over 200000 tenants. Since the 2019 Agreement between NYCHA the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York (SDNY) NYCHA has been working under a Federal Monitor structure. The HUD Agreement sets the requirement to create a new Transformational Plan in collaboration with the Federal Monitor and sets forth various compliance related targets for NYCHA across major operational areas.

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) oversees the Authoritys support services portfolio including Supply Management & Procurement Information Technology Human Resources Employee Engagement Customer Contact Center and General Services.

The Office of the CAO seeks an SVP of Supply Chain Management a newly established senior-level position reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). This role will lead the newly established Supply Chain Management team providing strategic direction and operational leadership to transform how NYCHA plans procures manages and delivers goods and services that directly support frontline operations. Working closely with the CAO and other senior executives the SVP will serve as a key change leader translating strategic goals into operational results that improve efficiency resilience and customer service across NYCHA.

The responsibilities of the SVP of Supply Chain Management will include but are not limited to:
-Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for NYCHAs supply chain and support service operations into a cohesive performance-driven framework.
-Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure efficient compliant and cost-effective delivery of materials equipment and services across NYCHAs developments and administrative offices.
-Implement data-driven approaches to forecasting demand planning and asset lifecycle management.
-Lead the management of Fleet Administration optimizing vehicle utilization maintenance and replacement planning to minimize costs to support field operations.
-Direct Building Services operations ensuring safe efficient and well-maintained administrative and operational facilities including workspace logistics that enable timely and reliable internal support.
-Oversee General Services functions encompassing mail distribution document imaging and related internal service delivery activities.
-Drive standardization of policies workflows and performance metrics across all operational units to strengthen accountability and transparency.

Qualifications :

1. Six years of full-time progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial or administrative capacity requiring independent decision-making concerning management or planning allocation of resources and the scheduling and assignment of work; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 above. Education may be substituted for the general administrative experience (but not for the 18 months of managerial experience described above) at the rate of 1 year of college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 4 years of college for 2 years of experience.
