Essential Position Responsibilities
Provide neurological consultations and evaluations for admitted patients.
Manage a spectrum of acute neurologic cases including stroke seizure headache and neuromuscular conditions.
Work closely with hospitalists intensivists and specialty teams to deliver coordinated care.
Interpret neuroimaging and related diagnostic tests.
Participate in clinical rounds interdisciplinary discussions and case reviews.
Document care accurately and promptly in the EMR system.
Support quality improvement protocol development and continuing education programs.
Qualifications
Education: MD or DO degree.
Certification: Board Certified/Eligible in Neurology; eligible for Maryland state licensure.
Experience: Prior inpatient neurology experience preferred; new graduates encouraged.
Skills: Strong clinical reasoning communication and teamwork abilities.
