Position Description

We are seeking an Expert-level Java Developer to support enhancements code changes and bug fixes for critical public health systems. The ideal candidate will work across the full Java EE stack and contribute to multiple system modules. Primary responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining applications using the full range of Java EE web technologies.

• Configuring and supporting files required for the development of surveillance systems and associated modules.

• Participating in system design sessions and transforming user requirements into business rules use cases and web page mockups.

• Creating and executing unit and regression test scripts.

• Preparing and maintaining system technical documentation.

• Designing logical and physical data models.

• Gathering requirements for data migration and performing data migration activities.

Mandatory Qualifications

Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science MIS or a related field from an accredited institution.

• 6084 months of experience with WebLogic application server.

• 6084 months of experience using at least one application framework (Spring and/or MyBatis preferred).

• 6084 months of experience in designing implementing and deploying applications using Java SE JDBC Java Servlets and JavaScript with relational database models.

• 6084 months of experience working with relational databases and SQL.

• 6084 months of experience with system design and specification documentation.

• 6084 months of experience using web services.

• 6084 months of experience with Java-based service-oriented architecture (SOA).

• 6084 months of experience using unit testing frameworks and CVS version control.

Desired Qualifications

• 84 months of experience in each of the mandatory qualification areas.
