Role Summary:
Are you passionate about patient care and helping people live active lives We are seeking a dedicated and talented individual with a passion for patient care in an orthopedic setting and background in Durable Medical Equipment to join us as a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver.

Key Responsibilities:

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.

  • Delivers and organizes DME in medical facilities
  • Maintains and adjusts inventory levels routinely
  • Processes inventory orders and restocks using Motion MD platform
  • Ensures that the items delivered to the clinic is consistent with the clinic needs
  • Provides appropriate information to the account staff patient and/or caregiver related to the set-up features routine use troubleshooting cleaning and maintenance of the DME.
  • Verifies proper functioning of equipment.
  • Ensures that the account staff are able to use all DME and items provided safely and effectively in the settings of anticipated use.
  • Verifies that the clinic staff and/or patient has received training and instructions on the use of the DME
  • Provides clinic staff and patients with essential contact information for rental equipment and options for patients to rent or purchase equipment if applicable.
  • Provides clinic staff and patients with information and telephone numbers for Customer Service assistance including information regarding regular business hours after-hours access item repair and emergency coverage.
  • Ensures safe and clean transport of DME and/or supplies to and from the medical facilities as required and in accordance with industry standards and applicable governmental regulations.
  • Process all orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develops and maintains professional and technical knowledge by staying current on relevant DME and orthopedic products and services offered by both Enovis and Surgi-Care.
  • Prepares and submit patient agreements to insurance companies for billing in a timely and accurate manner
  • Schedules and conducts inventory audits/counts per Enovis procedures
  • Adheres to all Enovis policies procedures and guidelines as well as OIG and government program (e.g. Medicare) regulations.
  • Treats Protected Health Information (PHI) with the strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with patient care and/or customer service required.
  • General working knowledge of customer service-related practices required.
  • Previous experience and/or working knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and orthotic products required.
  • Demonstrated patient care experience preferred.
  • Has and maintains a high level of professional and technical knowledge of relevant payor rules and criteria.

Travel

  • Required to travel up to 90% of the time.
  • Overnight travel is not required.
  • Includes considerable time spent traveling in car to customer accounts as dictated by territory.
  • Must be willing to travel to various local clinic sites

Work Environment Physical Demands:

  • Field based (i.e. patient homes physicians offices hospitals clinics etc.).
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This job involves potential exposure to airborne and bloodborne pathogens.
  • Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear. Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Deskwork requiring sitting walking using phone and computer.
