As an Intake Coordinator you will act as the initial point of contact for all clients seeking assistance on matters relating to health and disability. You will confirm eligibility coordinate referrals and guide the client through the application process while working alongside a team of disability management professionals.
This is a fixed-term fully onsite position based in Vaughan with an expected duration until May 2026.
The Intake Coordinator (Term) will:
Receive all incoming inquiries and correspondence related to disability benefits and services
Confirm client eligibility to benefits and services
Explain the application processes
Receive and review applications for completeness
Create and maintain case records within our claims database
Assign new cases internally or coordinate internal or external referrals appropriately
To be successful as an Intake Coordinator (Term) with BPA you will need:
Post-secondary education or diploma in a medical or health-related discipline; or
Minimum two years experience in a medical benefits administration or claims setting
Strong customer service focus
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality in handling confidential medical information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and resolve conflict
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy MS Word Excel Outlook etc
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
