The role:

Were seeking an adaptable People and Culture Advisor to join our collaborative People and Quality team. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager this role provides practical advice and operational support across the employee lifecycle ensuring our people systems and processes are effective compliant and continuously improving.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys both people-facing advisory work and the operational detail that keeps things running smoothly. There is genuine opportunity for professional growth and scope to build experience across a broad range of HR areas making this an excellent next step for someone looking to expand their HR career in a supportive purpose-driven organisation.

In this role you will:

  • Provide timely practical advice to leaders and employees on a range of people matters.
  • Support and advise on recruitment processes.
  • Support the P&C Officer in day-to-day operations acting as a key escalation point and ensuring consistent high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain HR systems and data integrity conducting regular audits and supporting system improvements postEmployment Hero implementation.
  • Contribute to policy review compliance monitoring and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle to strengthen our People & Culture service delivery.

Youre an experienced and proactive HR professional who enjoys balancing advisory and operational work. You bring strong relationship-building skills a keen eye for detail and the confidence to navigate legislation and systems.

To thrive in this role you will also need:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR operations role.
  • Knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards.
  • HRIS capability and confidence working with data systems and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
  • A proactive solutions-focused approach and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.

Youll also hold:

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (or willingness to obtain)
