Aviation and Maintenance Technician & Inspector - Flight Line

Boeing is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspector Flight Test who holds an Active Secret or higher security clearance to perform maintenance preventative maintenance and alterations on production during and post flight test activities in support of our KC-46 Tanker in Tukwila WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot inspect test repair service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight.

  • Perform Quality functions such as Customer and DCMA Coordination Configuration Change Verification Conformity Inspections Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights) Corrective Action and Investigations.

  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials hardware software tools parts assemblies or portions thereof according to specifications processes and procedures.

  • Perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspector tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge skills and required certifications.

  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials hardware software tools parts assemblies or portions thereof according to specifications processes and procedures.

  • Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes according to specifications processes and procedures.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military airline or certificated repair station background

  • Must be capable of lifting pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time to successfully perform the job requirements

  • Able to perform physical activities such as climbing bending kneeling and lifting

  • Experience working from heights & using fall protection equipment with weight limitations

  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed

  • Able to work variable shifts including weekends holidays and overtime

  • Ability to work on both Commercial and Military Aircrafts as required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current Active Clearance

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred

  • 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector

  • 2 years of experience working in an FAA Repair Station environment

  • Aviation flightline experience

  • 3 years of experience working around live aircraft and flight operations

This position is for 2nd shift (Subject to change)

Additional Information:

This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.

Summary Pay Range: $37.00/hr. - $56.97/hr.
