Job Summary:
The Clinic Support Clerk will update patient records with new information. Scan new documents received by electronic fax documents received by mail or documents received from paper records. Manage electronic fax lines for multiple physicians. Determine documents that require signatures and documents that need physician nurse or office staff immediate attention. This position will cross-train to cover other areas within the department to include prior authorization referrals and new patient applications.
Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to adapt to sudden changes in work priorities based on the organization provider or patient needs
- Computer program such as Microsoft Outlook Excel and Work Knowledge is desired
Education and Training:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- Medical background/terminology and document scanning experience is preferred

The Clinic Support Clerk will update patient records with new information. Scan new documents received by electronic fax documents received by mail or documents received from paper records. Manage electronic fax lines for multiple physicians. Determine documents that require signatures and documents that need physician nurse or office staff immediate attention.
