Provide continuity in the classroom instructional program to support the school divisions essential comprehensive educational program by carrying out the daily routine and instructional objectives of the professional classified staffin their absence. |
| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
- Works with individual or small groups of students to reinforce learning objectives and standards.
- Supports students in learning classroom/school routines and procedures.
- Provides supervision and a safe environment for students during structured and unstructured times such as lunch recess transitions loading/unloading of buses and any other assigned duties
- Assists with the development of students social/emotional skills.
- Assists with small group learning activities.
- Demonstrate fair and ethical judgements.
- Display problem-solving cooperative negotiating skills and conflict resolution strategies.
- Provides instructional support during learning.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Maintains a positive professional solution-focused demeanor at all times.

| EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited post-secondary institution or career technical facility; or an Associates Degree; or completed the ParaPro assessment.
- Some experience in working with children.

| KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES |
- This position requires periods of standing; some walking moving climbing carrying bending kneeling crawling reaching handling pushing and pulling. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
