Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the Football Program.
• Is knowledgeable about the game game management planning training and rules.
• Develop and execute an effective training program.
• Monitor student-athletes academic performance to ensure they meet eligibility requirements.
• Motivate train and mentor student-athletes on and off the Field.
• Instruct and guide student-athletes to lead them to the formulation and enhancement of moral values pride of accomplishment acceptable social behavior self-discipline and self-confidence.
• Promote good sportsmanship amongst teammates coaches opponents officials and fans.
• Cooperate with theSchool Athletic Director and the District Athletic Department in regard to requests for information that might be pertinent and/or periodically requiredin a timely manner.
• Adhere to all requirements mandated by the CPS District Board of Education The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) relative to the mandated Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/ Certification and the ODE Pupil Activity Permit.
• Recognize the need to be aware of and implement all applicable administrative polices set forth by the District Board of Education Superintendents of Schools School Principals Conference Leagues ODE and OHSAA.
• Follow the CPS District Athletic Department Policies as outlined in the Coaches Handbook and meet all criteria as outlined in the job description.
• Serve as a role model. Model the behavior expected of our student-athletes including timeliness to practices and games good sportsmanship and being respectfullwhile upholding the disciplines of the program.
• Maintain an appropriateconduct towards student-athletes officials and spectators at all times.
• Accept and profit from constructivecriticism and suggestions for improving coaching performance.
• Schedule and coördinateall games and contests including State Tournament Games.
• Follow properdue processwhen violations occur.
• Participate in Clinics and other available programs to improve coaching performance.
• Participate in School events (i.e. Awards Night Pep Assemblies Athletic Boosters Meetings etc.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
• Ensure that team is well-prepared for opponents.
• Care and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fundraising experience.
• Possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
• Knowledge of rules regulations techniques and strategies of the sport.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Ability to work well with coaches athletic directors students and parents.

TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Ohio Secondary Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Evidence of successful past coaching experience at the High School and/or College level preferred.
• Provide satisfactory resultof County Police Records Check State BCII Check and a FBI Fingerprint Background Check.
• Possess an Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Pupil Activity Permit (PAP).
• Provide proof of completion of CoachesTool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification.

SALARY: Per Schedule E Contract of current C.F.T. Labor Agreement
