Job Summary

JOB TITLE: Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician
LOCATION: Orlando FL
PAY RATE: $38.89/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Schedule: Minimum 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate custom metal chassis and assemblies.
Determine proper metal stretch based on material type and required bend radius.
Build test equipment from engineering layouts schematics bills of material and the engineering practices manual.
Collaborate with Engineers Fabricators Draftsmen Procurement and Quality Inspectors.
Update job status quality inspections and engineering changes using computer-based systems.
Support a fast-paced fabrication environment with opportunities to work on CNC machines and lathes.
Communicate design or process issues to management and Design Engineers.

Requirements:

HS Diploma or GED.
3 years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
3 years of experience reading blueprints and fabricating custom metal chassis.
3 years of experience determining metal stretch for various materials and bend radii.
Experience fabricating test equipment using blueprints schematics BOMs and engineering guidelines.
Strong communication skills to identify and escalate design or process issues.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
