Job Summary
Introduction
My client forms part of a group of companies and is currently recruiting for a Financial Manager to work at their office in Sandton. They are looking for a young person with about 5-10 years experience in financial management/analysis/reporting. Must be degreed and done their articles. Must be able to work under pressure and had exposure to the full financial function.
This position is also quite operational.
The purpose of the job is to provide company financial reporting compliance and support and assist in driving efficiencies and improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company
- Preparing budgets and forecasts and monthly flash results
- GP Analysis
- Prepare accurate financial reports including monthly and annual financial statements
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives
- Management & approval of credit notes
- Monitor cash flow budgets and forecasts providing recommendations for improvements
- Manage compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and optimize financial performance
- Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure high performance and development Providing business support in respect of financial matters
- Payroll review and analysis
- Cashbook Management and daily banking
- Annual rate reviews and increase implementation
Debtors & Creditors Management:
- Directing and supervising the AR and AP functions (Debtors & Creditors)
- Managing debtors age analysis and invoice submissions
- Management of allocations
- Approving credit limits and credit notes
- Intercompany Creditors
- Payment and Reconciliation review of all 3rd Party Creditors
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience
- Strong knowledge of financial management reporting and analysis
- Proven ability to drive strategic financial decision-making
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
