We are currently looking for a Legal technology Analyst to join our team in Franklin TN. The Nissan Americas Legal Department is seeking a knowledgeable and innovative Legal Technology Analyst to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all legal-specific applications (e.g. Matter Management E-billing CLM eDiscovery Document Management) within Nissan Americas. This individual will play a critical role at the intersection of law and technology ensuring our legal team has the tools systems and support needed to operate efficiently securely and in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in legal workflows with technical fluency to drive adoption optimization and integration of legal technology solutions.
A Day in the Life:
Act as the primary SME for all legal-specific software and tools (e.g. eBilling matter management document management contract lifecycle management eDiscovery platforms)
Partner with legal IT procurement and compliance teams to identify implement and optimize technology solutions that support legal operations and goals
Lead the evaluation configuration deployment and ongoing administration of legal technology systems
Monitor usage identify pain points and drive continuous improvements in legal tech adoption and performance
Provide expert-level training and support to attorneys and legal staff on legal systems and tools
Work with vendors to manage upgrades troubleshoot issues and ensure system performance and data integrity
Develop documentation workflows best practices and governance standards for legal technology use
Collaborate with cybersecurity and data privacy teams to ensure secure and compliant use of legal technologies
Stay current with legal tech trends and emerging technologies providing strategic recommendations for innovation and investment
Who Were Looking for:
Required:
Bachelors degree in information technology Legal Studies Computer Science or related field (Advanced Degree a plus)
5-7 years of related experience at a professional level. Some knowledge and work experience in Legal billing systems preferred. Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding privileged and confidential information.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 Software Suite (M365 Outlook Teams SharePoint Online Purview)
Strong understanding of legal workflows and operational requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional initiatives
Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
Experience with system integration data migrations and change management preferred
Ability to perform work onsite at Nissan North America Headquarters Franklin TN.
Desired:
Certifications in legal tech platforms or IT project management (e.g. PMP Lean Six Sigma)
Familiarity with APIs data visualization and legal analytics tools
Experience working in automotive regulated industries
5 years of experience in legal technology or legal operations preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm
Hands-on experience with legal-specific platforms (e.g. iManage Relativity HighQ Passport T360 Luminance Encase Information Assurance Docusign CLM etc.)
