POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for collaboratively developing implementing and delivering the financial planning and analytics for Oakwood Village to ensure awareness of the financial position and the respective opportunities and risks. This encompasses supporting processes systems modeling reporting and communications.
This position also works with department managers as a consultant in driving understanding and delivering financial goals and objectives; is responsible for preparation of the annual budget encompassing the Statement of Operations Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Cash Flows; produces monthly variance analysis in collaboration with the Accounting Team; benchmarks data for opportunities and growth; prepares SEC budget filings; and prepares and delivers related presentations to senior management.
This position is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the operations of information technology.
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)
- Delivers the annual operating and capital budget. Plans facilitates and develops the budgeting and financial planning processes for the organization through business partner collaboration. Establishes operational department budgets in alignment with organizational strategies. Prepares the Statement of Operations Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Cash Flows with associated analysis telling the story of the financial picture.
- Furthers the financial analytics. Provides financial perspectives insights and actionable options for Oakwood decision makers. Analyzes current performance identifies and interprets trends and opportunities and reviews results with respective business partners.
- Assesses and delivers on the opportunities to infuse artificial intelligence (AI) into the analytics and reporting processes.
- Collaborates on initiatives. Partners with the CFO and management team on the development and reporting of key performance indicator financial and statistical information; and models future programs/services. These may include financial planning for initiatives financial performance evaluation of care communities occupancy mix impact rate vs volume vs mix impact etc.
- Leads the development and analysis of pricing policies for programs and services.
- Partners with the Controller on delivery of financial results and financial planning.
- Facilitates and/or participates on cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement operational improvements and/or business growth opportunities. Prepares needed operational analyses to assist in the decision-making process including cost-benefit lease vs buy etc.; utilizing NPV IRR payback and break-even measures.
- Maintains continuous improvement mindset; assessing future needs and applying and integrating technology to enhance the completeness accuracy and timeliness of systems and processes.
- Guides management and staff on financial stewardship and profitability.
- Partners with Treasury function to maximize investment return and limit risk on cash by minimizing cash balances and making investments.
- Embraces a servant approach. Utilize strong customer service skills when engaging with constituents including managers board members residents and other stakeholders; presenting Oakwoods mission vision and values in all aspects of responsibility.
- Provides informal leadership for members of the Finance department with emphasis on the empowerment of staff to be creative to offer input into the decision-making process and to develop as an accountable member of the Oakwood team. Provides input on staff selection orientation evaluation and growth.
- Partners with the outsourced information technology service provider to support advancing complete accurate and dynamic technology across Oakwood. Aligns technology resources with business initiatives supporting Oakwood growth and efficient and effective operations. Manages Microsoft Office 365 VPN and other licenses to ensure business user needs are met while upholding financial stewardship of Oakwood resources.

- Advanced Excel skills - vlookup pivot tables charts data sourcing/PowerPivot; SQL experience reporting tools a plus
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar accounting software
