Job Summary

Verisure is seeking an experienced and passionate Nordic Communications & ESG Director to join our Cluster Leadership team reporting to the Nordics HR & Communications Director with potential to grow into a direct report to the General Manager Nordics & Sweden. This role is pivotal for our growth driving reputation employee engagement and business outcomes through strategic and impactful communications and ESG leadership.

We are seeking an exceptional corporate communications leader with a broad background spanning external and internal communications change and transformation ESG and stakeholder engagement. As Nordic Communications & ESG Director you will impact on the communciations value chain reputation employee engagement executive communications ESG positioning and strategic messaging delivering measurable impact across the organization. This newly created high-visibility role is ideal for a top performer with a strategic mindset strong project management skills and hands-on experience. The role of Communications & ESG Director Verisure Nordics

The Communications Director is a newly created high-impact role leading the function across the Nordics. Reporting to either the Nordic HR & Communications Director or the General Manager Nordics youll collaborate closely with Management Teams Communications Leaders and Marketing Directors across four countries.

This is a newly created standalone role reflecting the growing importance of Communications and ESG in our strategic agenda. As our organization continues to evolve this role will play a critical part in shaping and building the function across the Nordics. You will have the opportunity to carry and expand whats already in motion while designing and driving new initiatives that support our future ambitions.

Joining during a dynamic phase of growth and transformation youll shape and execute the Nordics external and internal communications strategy lead implementation across markets and build capabilities that elevate brand presence and business impact. With significant autonomy youll tailor communications plans per market working hand-in-hand with country leadership and business teams. As a trusted advisor youll provide strategic guidance and hands-on execution across reputation media and employee engagementensuring alignment between internal and external messaging. Youll also collaborate with Group-level teams contributing to international communications strategies and projects.

Main responsibilities and impact

Strategic leadership in Corporate Communications

  • Lead develop and implement the internal and external communications strategy for the Nordic Cluster in support of our ambitious business goals.
  • Design and deliver integrated communications campaigns that drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute an internal communications program that fosters pride alignment and engagement across teams.
  • Collaborate with Group Communications to localize global narratives and amplify their impact.
  • Oversee media relations including proactive storytelling and responsive issue management leveraging a strong network of journalist relationships.
  • Produce compelling content across formatspress releases blog posts videos social media and executive speechesthat brings Verisures priorities to life.
  • Lead and manage reputational issues and crisis communications in coordination with local markets.
  • Monitor and manage corporate reputation using a range of KPIs.
  • Effectively manage the communications budget to maximize return on investment.
  • Stay informed on industry trends developments and news acting as our antenna for local market insights.
  • Develop a comprehensive communications dashboard in collaboration with local leads to drive transparency identify trends and optimize impact.
  • Build a strong and engaged communications community ensuring the right capabilities and talent are in place. Promote best-in-class practices and knowledge-sharing across the cluster so great ideas scale quickly and effectively.
  • Lead and co-create horizontal networks with markets to enable rapid learning and execution.

Engaging and impactful internal and external Communication Execution

  • Write review and edit a wide range of content tailored to different audiencesincluding strategic plans presentations messaging frameworks talking points Q&As website copy video scripts external statements and press releases.
  • Serve as a company spokesperson representing Verisure in the media. Ensure the brand leads public discourse and shapes perception around security for homes and small businesses.
  • Oversee the companys digital presence including corporate website content and social media channels.

Lead develop and lift ESG while building relationships and reputation strategy

  • Lead and elevate ESG practices across the Nordics coordinating efforts across countries to scale impact and crafting compelling narratives that highlight ongoing initiatives.
  • Build and manage the companys reputation by communicating our values mission and achievements to key external stakeholdersincluding media partners industry groups and civil society organizations.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic relationships that enhance Verisures external reputation and showcase the positive impact we make in society.
  • In close collaboration with Group Legal and local teams develop a Public Affairs strategy that supports our commercial goals and mitigates potential risks. Provide communications support to Legal in interactions with regulators.
  • Partner with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels and contribute to strategies that strengthen brand reputation.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate and external communications roles within global fast-paced B2C environments including sectors such as retail telco FMCG and subscription-based services.
  • Substantial experience in international multicultural organizations with hands-on leadership of remote and cross-functional teams across diverse markets.
  • Bachelors degree or higher preferably in communications public relations marketing business administration or a related field.
  • Strong experience managing media relations acting as company spokesperson and leading issues and crisis communications.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute impactful brand and communications strategies aligned with broader commercial and reputational goals. Demonstrated excellence in writing messaging and interpersonal communication with meticulous attention to detail and a track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Proven project management skills successfully leading complex cross-functional projects involving multiple departments to drive strategic alignment and timely execution. Experienced in managing multiple simultaneous initiatives in fast-paced environments ensuring quality accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Skilled in navigating competing priorities balancing customer-centric communication needs with business demands to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Known for building strong trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders influencing through business acumen and clear compelling communication.
  • Growth-minded and curious with a drive to challenge the status quo and elevate communication practices across channels and markets.
  • Native Swedish speaker with fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in other Nordic languages is a strong asset.
