Join IRSSS and make a difference in the lives of Indigenous Survivors and families.

As a Wellness Worker (RHSW/IDS/MMIWG) youll provide emotional cultural and crisis support to former Indian Residential School students Intergenerational Survivors and their families. Youll also facilitate workshops and healing activities in communities across BC.

What Youll Do

Provide counselling and mental health support

Facilitate culturally safe workshops and events

Build relationships with First Nations communities and wellness stakeholders

Travel extensively to urban and rural communities

What Were Looking For

Minimum 3 years counseling experience with Indigenous clients

BA in Social Sciences or equivalent experience

Knowledge of Indigenous culture and IRS history

Valid BC Drivers License and ability to travel

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Cultural knowledge keepers

Collaborative and etuthentic leaders of healing empathy and compassion

Team players and supportive co-workers

What We Offer

Salary: Starting at $70075 (based on experience)
