Job Summary

AmeriPharma MedBox an industry-leading long-term care at-home pharmacy service is currently seeking a Pharmacy Biller to join our team in Laguna Hills this role you will play a vital part in supporting our MedBox program by ensuring the accurate and timely billing of multi-dose packaged prescriptions. Youll work directly with Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) manage claim adjudication handle prior authorizations and resolve billing discrepanciesall while maintaining exceptional patient communication and customer service is a full-time on-site position ideal for someone with hands-on experience in pharmacy claims billing who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a tech-enabled patient-centered pharmacy solution.


Schedule Details

  • Location: On-Site Laguna Hills CA (Office borders Irvine)
  • Hours: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and rebill NDCs to ensure accurate claim submission
  • Perform electronic claim adjudication and resolve rejections
  • Communicate with insurance companies to address billing issues and obtain overrides
  • Manage prior authorizations and coordinate with healthcare providers
  • Engage with patients regarding insurance-related issues providing clear and timely resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare Part D Medicaid and commercial payer guidelines


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize multitask and work independently


Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail LTC or independent pharmacy setting
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pharmacy billing
  • Familiarity with NCPDP standards PBMs and claim processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred: Licensed/Registered Pharmacy Technician
