Job Description: Data Center Facilities Technician Level II (Mechanical or Electrical)

The Data Center Facilities Technician Level IIplays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients facility by overseeing technical maintenance managing the infrastructure maintenance program and prioritizing sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum improve efficiency

and implements newstrategies for Mechanical Electrical and Fire Life Safety systems


Tests performanceof electromechanical assemblies and electronic volt meters


Reads blueprints schematics diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and

sequences ofprocesses


Inspects equipmentfor defects leaks and potential issues


Installselectrical/electronic parts and hardware in housings/assemblies with hand tools


Aligns fits orassembles component parts using hand/power tools


Operates monitors maintains and responds to abnormal conditions in Mechanical

Electrical Plumbing Fire Life Safety Security Systems Building Monitoring Systems and

Control systems


Analyze systems toensure best practice for internal/external customers


Provides feedbackon effectiveness of existing standards and processes


Works with contractors and consultants to review quality assurance for all system

expansionscorrections and upgrades


Collaborates on the tracking and completing aggressive preventive and predictive

maintenance programs


Collaborates ondetermining maintenance requirements for mechanical electrical

plumbing fire lifesafety systems and security systems


Providesmart/remote hands assistance within specified SLA


Moves/Adds/Changes hardware install including labeling power connectivity and network

cable connectivity


Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical and industrial maintenance within a commercial or industrial setting.

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems safety protocols and regulatory compliance.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks manage resources effectively and adapt to changing priorities.

Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems and Microsoft and Google Applications.

Proven experience in maintenance operations in a commercial or industrial facility with a focus on HVACor Electrical systems.

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems or HVAC experience with a proficiency in handling refrigerants.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
  • Ability to bend stoop kneel and reach for equipment related tasks
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
  • Clear vision with or without correction to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs labels and cables
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme temperatures rain or snow
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
  • Possession of a valid drivers license for work-related travel as required

Shift: Monday through Friday w/ some weekend if needed
Hours: 7am to 5pm
