Job Summary
Job Title: Surgical Technologist OR General
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Shift: Day/Night 5x8s
Local Pay: $45$50/hr
Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and RNs in a multi-specialty OR. Responsible for maintaining a safe sterile environment and supporting all phases of surgical care.
Key Duties:
Prepare OR: instruments equipment sterile fields and solutions.
Follow strict infection control and AORN standards.
Perform scrub duties across all specialties.
Test/adjust equipment before procedures.
Pass instruments and supplies; assist with retraction sutures and counts.
Handle and label surgical specimens.
Apply dressings; assist with patient positioning/transport.
Operate sterilizers suction lights and equipment.
Prepare/label medications under surgeon/RN supervision.
Support room turnover and restocking.
Maintain patient privacy and safety.
Participate in training and uphold organizational values.
Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited Surgical Tech/OR Tech program.
National certification (NBSTSA) within 12 months; must stay current (NCCA-recognized).
Current BLS.
Orthopedic experience preferred.
