Job Summary

SPT EDUCATOR Shift: M-F 7A-330P Weekend REQ: will vary depending on need Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs Yes Years of experience REQ: 2 years of educator experience having 3 years of sterile processing experience within sterile processing and/or Operating Room. Knowledge of sterilization principles microbiology and infection prevention practices. Knowledge of instrument names functions and specialty sets. First timers accepted: yes if they have the needed experience License REQ: Graduate of high school or GED equivalency required. Must be certified and maintain a certification in sterile processing form CRCST HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) Certs required: BLS not required Advanced certification (CIS CER CHL) preferred. Open to accommodating block schedule Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on units needs. Local radius: 60 miles Locals accepted: Yes. Locals are accepted on a case-by-case basis ad 10% less than the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: all RTO must be submitted at time of submission. Approval based off unit needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September
