Mental Health Clinical Director

Centurion is proud to be the provider ofmental health to the Florida Department of Corrections.

We are currently seeking a part-time Mental Health Clinical Director to join our team at Lancaster Correctional Institution located in Trenton Florida.

The Mental Health Clinical Director will work as part of the management team provide administrative guidance consultation and mental health leadership to coordinate clinical needs and provide assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders of patients in a correctional setting.

• Assist with the development implementation coordination promotion and evaluation of clinical services
• Ensure that behavioral/mental health services delivered are in compliance with correctional mental health standards
• Supervise non-psychiatric staff including counselors social workers re-entry and clerical support as assigned
• Ensure that non-psychiatric staff are providing services within their scope of practice and under necessary supervision
• Identify and develop clinical resources for use by staff in service delivery and enhancement of
• clinical skills of staff
• Collaborate with Psychiatric Providers in the integration of psychiatric services into mental health program
• Assist and inform the H.S.A./Nurse Manager Regional Psychologist Regional Director or Statewide Leadership in monitoring all Company related behavioral/mental health programs and outpatient services ensuring appropriate staff assignments and performance identifying backlogs or other operational problems and results of issues and/or actions taken
• Represent the Company at meetings as requested by the H.S.A./Nurse Manager Regional Psychologist Regional Director or Warden
• Assist H.S.A./Nurse Manager and Regional Psychologist with recruitment/hiring of behavioral/mental health staff and new hire orientation and provide feedback on staff performance management
• Monitor assess and coach staff on clinically-related procedures recommending training or education as needed
• Interpret and consult on all Administrative Regulations or Standard Operating Procedures related to behavioral/mental health services
• Conduct/oversee in-service training on behavioral/mental health related topics for the Company and facility staff
• Provide onsite clinical/mental health services as required
• Identify and maintain professional boundaries to preserve the integrity of the therapeutic process and relationship
• Other duties as assigned

** Schedule is 2 days a week; 8:00am-4:30pm **

• M.S. M.A. or M.S.W. in Psychology Counseling or related field from an accredited institution required
• Active professional license in Florida as an LMHC LCSW or LMFT is required
• Ability to become a Qualified Supervisor within specified field of study
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification
• Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain FDC security clearance
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred
• Five years behavioral/mental health experience in a correctional and/or mental health services environment preferred
