As a Processing Supervisor at GoLemon you will manage the processing operations for your assigned shift (day or night) ensuring the proper handling storage and preparation of all perishable items. This role is critical to maintaining quality food safety/hygiene and operational excellence while keeping waste to a minimum.

You will lead a team of processors responsible for sorting bagging labelling and executing customer-specific processing instructions. Youll ensure strict adherence to GoLemons standards collaborate closely with Fulfilment teams such as Shopping and Inventory and stay in sync with the Processing Lead to align with broader operational goals.

Key responsibilities

Operations management

You will:

• Supervise processors responsible for sorting bagging labelling and processing customer shopping instructions.
  
• Oversee shift-specific processing activities ensuring timely and efficient workflows.
  
• Monitor and ensure the quality and freshness of all produce handled during the shift.
  
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for processing tasks.
  

Quality and safety

You will:

• Conduct routine inspections of produce and processing areas to uphold quality and safety standards.
  
• Train team members on best practices for food safety hygiene and proper handling techniques.
  
• Ensure compliance with storage guidelines to prevent spoilage or contamination.
  

Waste management

You will:

• Monitor waste levels and ensure proper disposal of unusable portions.
  
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve resource utilisation.
  

Team leadership

You will:

• Supervise train and motivate processors to achieve operational goals.
  
• Provide real-time feedback and support to team members to enhance performance.
  

Reporting and communication

You will:

• Prepare daily reports summarising shift performance challenges and key metrics.
  
• Collaborate with the Processing Lead to align on goals and address operational needs.
  

Requirements

Your experience & what it takes to succeed at this role

1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
   
2. 3 years of experience in food handling preparation or a similar role.
   
3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and storage practices.
   
4. Great people skills - you must be genuinely kind and able to lead with accountability and empathy.
   
5. You are open to being a part of a fast growing and changing team and get challenged by more.
