Respite Care of San Antonio (RCSA) provides services to enhance the stability and nurturing opportunities of families caring for a loved one with developmental disabilities and/or complex medical diagnosis. Our goal is to strengthen and stabilize families prevent possible child abuse and prevent or delay institutionalization of the child with special needs.
We offer various services for children with developmental disabilities and/or complex medical diagnoses such as a full-time daycare mothers day out program family day out/parents night out program and summer camps. Along with this we are a licensed emergency shelter and foster placement agency for children who have been taken into state protective custody.
The Remote Customer Service Representative / Clerk supports the organizational mission by serving as a key point of contact for clients caregivers families and internal teams providing excellent customer service accurate data entry clerical support and administrative assistance in a remote environment. The role plays a vital part in ensuring the integrity of service delivery smooth operations and quality communications for Respite Care of San Antonio.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to inbound communications (telephone email chat) from clients families caregivers internal staff.
Provide information about the organisations programs answer routine questions direct more complex requests to appropriate staff.
Enter update maintain and verify data in company systems and databases (client records caregiver profiles service logs scheduling data payment/billing info) with high accuracy.
Maintain electronic filing systems: scan index store retrieve documents ensure proper filing of client/caregiver documentation.
Assist with clerical tasks: preparing correspondence drafting standard emails/letters scheduling virtual appointments sending calendar invites monitoring inboxes and logs.
Track issues or enquiries raised and monitor follow-up actions to ensure resolution or escalation as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams (service delivery scheduling billing) to ensure that data and customer communications support operational requirements.
Handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to privacy/compliance standards.
Ensure your home/remote workspace meets requirements: reliable internet connection professional environment secure handling of data.
Ad hoc administrative support tasks/projects may be assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher preferred).
No experience needed we will train and training is paid
Strong verbal and written communication skills: clear courteous empathetic.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word Outlook) and ability to learn new systems/databases.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting: self-motivated organized reliable.
Reliable high-speed internet connection quiet professional workspace.
Working Conditions & Other Information
Fully remote role; standard business hours MondayFriday (some flexibility may be required).
Must maintain a professional remote work environment adhere to organizational data security standards.
Occasional special assignments or outside normal hours may occur (to support service coverage events etc.).
Youll be a key part of the team supporting clients with special needs and families strong customer-service orientation compassion and professionalism are essential.

Required Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent required Associates degree or higher education preferred Minimum two years of experience working with direct care; developmental disabilities and/or childcare experience preferred At least one year experience as a supervisor (more than 5 employees) Must be at least 21 years of age Valid drivers license Ability to pass all background checks Ability to attend 40 hours paid new hire orientation training during the day First Aid and CPR certifications preferred (may obtain after hired)
