Immediate Need for One to One School Float Nurse (RN - Registered Nurse) or (LPN- Licensed Practical Nurse) in the Louisville KY area. Full and Part time shifts for Days Shifts. Hourly Pay RN: $32-$38 and LPN $28-$32.
BrightStar Care Louisville is looking for RN/LPN School Float Nurse for One to One Care to students in the school district of Jefferson County Public School (JCPS). The RN/LPN school float nurse must be flexible and willing to work in various JCPS schools providing 1:1 care and/or general school nursing duties as needed throughout the school day of M-F.
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
- Pediatric Experience preferred
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented experience
- Experience with g-tubes trachs/vent seizure monitoring with rescue medications diabetic care etc.
- Must be able to stand walk squat bend kneel reach twist push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for g-tubes trachs/vent seizure monitoring with rescue medicationsdiabetic care etc.
- Ensure health & safety of student throughout school day
- Monitor and track changes in the client/patients conditions and needs
- Document in EMR (Electronic Medical Record)
- Strong attention to detail interpersonal and organization skills needed

Job Types: Full-time Part-time Per diem
Salary: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour (Licensed Practical Nurse $28-32) & (Registered Nurse $32-38). Note: compensation may vary based on skill experience and location.
Weekly schedule:
- Monday to Friday (Hours vary on school hours - normally 7AM-3PM or 9AM-5PM) flexible to work at various JCPS schools
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Louisville KY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- RN (Required)
