Job Summary
Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Infrastructure Test Lead to join our Emerging Technologies Cloud Team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels in complex hybrid infrastructure environments and is passionate about ensuring reliability stability and quality across enterprise platforms. While this engagement focuses on traditional infrastructure components the successful candidate will also be expected to support cloud-focused work as part of the broader team mandate.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Test Planning & Execution
oReview refine and complete existing infrastructure test plans.
oDevelop comprehensive test plans covering network compute storage cloud platform and automation components.
oExecute both manual and automated tests across enterprise infrastructure layers.
oTrack triage and report defects ensuring clear visibility into test coverage and results.
oValidate end-to-end infrastructure workflows to ensure alignment with architectural and operational requirements.
Collaboration & Coordination
oWork closely with network engineers platform owners cloud engineers automation engineers and other technical stakeholders to ensure broad and effective test coverage.
oParticipate in design and architecture reviews providing insight into testability and operational readiness.
oCoordinate environment readiness with DevOps operations and cloud teams to support test execution cycles.
oServe as a key liaison across teams to ensure alignment with project timelines risks and deliverables.
Automation & Tooling
oMaintain and update Ansible playbooks used for infrastructure validation and automated testing.
oIntegrate test workflows and validations into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
oEnhance test automation frameworks scripting and tooling to streamline and scale infrastructure validation efforts.
oContribute to infrastructure and cloud operational readiness ensuring systems and services meet required standards before production use.
Essential Qualifications
oStrong hands-on experience with Ansible for automation configuration management and infrastructure validation.
oProven expertise in infrastructure testing including functional integration and operational readiness validation.
oFamiliarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
oExcellent communication documentation and stakeholder management skills.
oAbility to work independently and lead testing efforts across multiple teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Technical Expertise
Candidates should possess solid working knowledge in several of the following areas:
oCore networking protocols and enterprise network architecture
oF5 load balancing technologies
oPalo Alto Networks (PAN-OS) firewall rule sets and security policies
oDell PowerStore storage systems
oRed Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration
oOpenShift Container Platform (OCP) container orchestration fundamentals
oPublic cloud best practices across AWS Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including cloud networking security models operational readiness and cloud service validation
