Job Summary

THE ROLE:

As a Community Engagement Intern at Oshkosh Corporation you are positioned at the forefront of fostering a sense of unity and purpose both within our team and the broader community. Your mission is to support the Community Engagement team by helping to strategize plan and execute initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and enacting positive change in the communities where we live and work. You will have the opportunity to contribute creatively to build narratives and strategies that resonate with team members and the communities we serve as well as solve challenges through innovative thinking.

This is a year-round internship which requires you to be onsite for the summer with the possibility of going remote during the school year.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of special events that connect our organization with the community.
  • Create engaging and effective communication materials to promote events and inspire our team to engage in philanthropy and volunteerism.
  • Generate a storytelling strategy to amplify the impacts of community service and volunteer efforts.
  • Investigate and propose new opportunities to elevate and broaden the reach of our community programs.
  • Take on a variety of engaging responsibilities as the situation demands showcasing your adaptability and eagerness to contribute.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current enrolment in a Bachelors program focused on Marketing Communications or a related Business field.
  • A vested interest in gaining practical experience within a corporate or nonprofit setting with a keen eye for event planning and community affairs.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A strong academic track record with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Proficiency across both PC and Mac platforms with a command of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational talents allowing you to juggle multiple priorities with finesse.
  • An intrinsic desire to collaborate and build collaborative relationships with colleagues across all organizational levels.
  • Written and interpersonal communication skills essential for telling stories and building engagement.

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
