Summary
This is an opportunity to experience the variety and challenges of a small specialized library and to apply LIS principles in a non-traditional library setting. The responsibilities of the CAE USA library are continually changing which provides a dynamic work environment. Librarian Student will assist in operation of the company library including the cataloging and control of Third-Party Intellectual Property for CAE USA programs. This requires introductory course knowledge or experience in special libraries and/or library administration. Candidate must be enrolled in a MLIS program.

Learns CAEs requirements standards and procedures
Has basic knowledge of the structure of library and organization content.
Collects and compiles data coming from different sources.
Catalog Third Party Intellectual Property with possible expose to sensitive material
Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field of Information Science.
Basic understanding of the Library of Congress cataloguing system.
Comfortable learning and using company specific metadata.
Ability to focus on solo tedious and detail orientated tasks.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Enrolled in Masters Degree Library Information Science program from an American Library Association accredited school preferred.
Must be local to Tampa CAE USA office.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
Good communications and writing skills. The position requires close interactions with librarians in multiple CAE USA locations.
Reasoning Ability: Decisions made are within established guidelines.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software in particular MS Access.
Security Responsibilities
Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

Ability to lift 20 pounds.
Ability to operate a personal computer and to sit for extended periods of time.
