Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation. Meets the physical psychosocial and cultural needs of patients and families. Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Reports to the Director of Surgery.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing walking lifting/moving patients and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards including blood and bodily fluids hazardous medications and latex.

Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required (current RN licensure accepted in lieu of degree); Bachelors Degree preferred.
License: /Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire (PALS not required for Pain Clinic RNs).
