Assistant Manager ()
The Office of the Dean of Science isseeking a highly motivated administrator to join its team as an Assistant Manager.
Responsibilities:
The appointee will lead the Postgraduate Studies and Research Team and be responsible for a wide range of duties including:
- Overseeing the management of the Facultys taught and research postgraduate programmes providing support for student records management exam and grade administration quality assurance matters and other related administrative issues;
- Coordinating research-related administration including but not limited to the compilation and vetting of grant proposals and contracts;
- Providing secretariat support to committees task forces and meetings;
- Contributing to day-to-dayoperations including internal and external liaisoncrafting reports and formal documents ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines and managing records; and
- Attending to other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess arecognisedbachelors degreewithat least5 years of relevant work experience preferably with hands-on experience in administering postgraduate and research matters at a local university. Leadership experience will be an advantage. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following qualities and competencies:
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
- A proactive and organised individual with a strong sense of responsibility;
- Ability to handle heavy workload under pressurewith a meticulous and detail-orientedapproach;
- Strong interpersonal analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work both independently andcollaborativelyin a team; and
- Proficient in common office software (including Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint) and IT skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
