Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competence in the skills (critical thinking interpersonal and technical) necessary to carry out assigned duties.
- Recognizes and responds to patients physical mental emotional and developmental needs that need to be evaluated in relation to the patient populations served appropriately.
- Assesses comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or the situation completes needed assessments and collaborates with physicians & providers
- Encourages feedback from the patient families/significant others peers and other disciplines regarding perception of care provided to patients and utilizes feedback to improve patient care practices.
- Acts as resource person in the subspecialty of medical oncology.
- Answers incoming telephone calls and answers patient questions.
- Confirms scheduled appointments.
- Projects positive flexible attitude and communications in order to meet patients needs.
Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois
Oncology Certification preferred.
Current CPR Certification.
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
