The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a qualified professional to assume the role as Divisional Human Resources Liaison for various divisions within the department. This position will provide professional guidance and consultation of in-depth HR knowledge and other HR functions.

Job Duties:

- Serves as the Divisional HR Liaison for various divisions within the ADCRR by providing professional guidance and consultation of in-depth HR knowledge and will be responsible for a variety of HR functions (recruitment Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) position control on-boarding establishing/creating positions and initiating personnel actions)
- Processes all personnel related activity to include ensuring compliance with ADOA Personnel Rules ADCRR policies and internal HR Liaison Instructions and procedures
- Variety of HR related functions and overall support for division liaisons
- Administers coordinates and prioritizes work assignment
- Leads and/or participates in special projects and research
- Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training resources for division liaisons
- Analyzes reported FMLA requests and claims to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with State and Federal regulations and ensure that ongoing claim management is within company service standards and industry best practices
- Establishes FMLA claims and tracks and codes documentation in accordance with internal workflow processes
- Confers with management and advises staff of department policies and procedures while applying HR knowledge and technical specialty
- Composes correspondence while applying considerable judgment as a subject matter expert
- Participates in LEAN initiatives and methodologies for process improvement
- Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Selective Preference(s):

- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a closely related field or two (2) years of experience as a Human Resources Analyst Intermediate or equivalent experience
- Relevant HR Certifications

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
