Job Summary

The Field Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing workforce allocation scheduling and resource planning for industrial manufacturing construction projects. This role ensures that field operations are adequately staffed materials are available and project timelines are met while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

*This role is 100% on site

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource Planning & Allocation:

    • Develop and maintain workforce schedules for multiple construction sites.
    • Coordinate labor equipment and material resources to meet project demands.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to align resource needs with project milestones.
    • Monitor progress and adjust resource plans to mitigate delays or shortages.
  • Compliance & Safety:

    • Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of certifications training and compliance records for field personnel.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Management:

    • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials and services.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to optimize cost and quality.
  • Reporting & Analysis:

    • Track resource utilization and prepare weekly/monthly reports for leadership.
    • Identify trends and recommend strategies for improving efficiency and reducing costs.

Qualifications :

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management Industrial Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 8 years in resource management or field operations within industrial manufacturing or construction.
  • Industrial and defense construction experience preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects and diverse teams.
  • Ability to work in industrial and construction environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Primavera).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
