Job Summary

Main Responsibilities

Co-ordination and Liaison

  • Play a constructive role in GOVs communications function contributing to an agile collaborative and supportive culture and positive interactions and accountability among colleagues.
  • Co-ordinate GOVs communication activities related to the EEA Norway grants notably by setting up and managing a taskforce with Communication leads in Divisions.
  • Partner closely with colleagues in COM and communications colleagues in GOV divisions to ensure seamless co-ordination and implementation of communication initiatives.

Planning and Implementation

  • Support the Senior Counsellor in the development and implementation of the Annual Communications Plan and specific strategic communications plans to address key public governance priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Communication leads in Divisions to develop strategic insights establish evidence-based performance indicators  and contribute to post-project impact analysis.
  • Support the Senior Counsellor in contributing to monitoring and reporting on the progress of the Annual Communications Plan.

Content Development and Digital Communications

  • Supporting the communication on GOVs flagship events.
  • Prepare and edit clear compelling quality content for social media and the web following the policies standards and best practices established by COM. Coach GOV colleagues in making technical writing and policy advice more accessible to non-expert audiences.
  • Develop comprehensive social media toolkits for campaigns and co-ordinate the creation of multimedia supports (video graphs dataviz etc.) always consistent with the OECDs branding and visual identity.
  • Co-ordinate the online presence for the Directorates key policy areas and issues ensuring content complies with the OECDs corporate strategy and its communications policies processes and best practices as set by COM.

Qualifications :

Ideal Candidate Profile

Academic Background

  • An advanced university degree in a relevant field such as Communications Journalism media or international relations.

Professional Background

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in communications (i.e. planning media social media web design) as part of a multi-functional team preferably in an international organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly and collaboratively contributing ideas on complex communications initiatives.
  • Strong writing skills notably in making complex issues accessible to a broad range of target audiences.
  • In-depth understanding of OECDs substantive work desirable.
  • Experience with impact management and/or digital analytical tools desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Languages

  • An excellent written and oral command of one of the two official languages of the OECD (English and French) and working knowledge of or willingness to learn the other. 
  • Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

Contract Duration

  • This vacancy will be used to fill multiple positions. The appointment type will be determined based on the needs of the Directorate and will be confirmed when an offer of employment is made to the selected candidate.

Selection Process

For retained candidates written tests/video-recorded interviews are foreseen in the second half of January 2026 and panel interviews are planned in February 2026.
