We are looking for a dedicated professional likeyouto be a part of our Laboratory team as aFullTimeMedical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) (ASCP).
This position works the 10:00 a.m. 9:00 p.m. shift.
Our Laboratory Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of our MLS/MLT include:
* Adequate and satisfactory specimen collection
* DOT/NON-DOT urine collection
* CLIA waived testing
* Patient identification
* Able to interpret provider orders/diagnosis
* Responsible for courier duties between facilities
* Consistently deliver excellent patient experiences maintaining a positive demeanor toward patients and the public; proactively addresses situations of concern to others
* Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations including HIPAA and with HCHD policies/procedures
* Identifies problems or improvements within own area of work; develops resourceful and alterative solutions for work improvement or problem solving
* Documents all activities as completely as necessary and required
* Completes other duties as assigned

Education | Minimum | High School Diploma Associate degree in Medial Laboratory Technology or approved based on experience. Registered by ASCP or AMT. | |
Preferred | Bachelors degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university. | ||
Work Experience | Minimum | Training in laboratory procedures and use of appropriate equipment. Knowledge of medical laboratory collection testing and use of equipment. | |
Preferred | Minimum one year of medical laboratory experience. | ||
