About the role:
Within our Financial Services Risk practice the Banking Non-Financial Risk & Regulatory Transformation team works with our banking and capital markets clients on their most pressing risk and regulatory programmes. This is an exciting time to join the growing team of over 120 individuals covering retail wholesale and capital markets. We work across Front Office Risk Compliance and Finance functions.
Our teams are self-starting agile and thrive on new and diverse challenges. Our clients are global as are their biggest challenges. We operate globally working with the global PwC network to bring the best of PwC to our clients.
You will be passionate about client service and the fast-paced changing nature of the banking sector. We are particularly interested in individuals who embrace tech-enabled ways of working and are excited about the potential of AI and other transformative technologies.
What your days will look like:
Recent projects have included:
Trading supervision and controls reviews and remediation
Design and implementation of 1st and 2nd line Non-Financial Risk functions
Broad ranging transformation initiatives within the Finance Risk and Compliance functions and across the 3 Lines of Defence Booking model changes and trade migration initiatives
GRC implementations and controls environment enhancement Sustainability reporting support and operating model design
Governance and controls reviews and remediation (including transaction reporting algorithmic trading trader mandates)
Regulatory reviews and remediation
You will take a leading role across a range of projects to build a broad range of expertise and be passionate about delivering value and insights to your clients. Youll invest time in building your client relationship network and thrive on taking on new challenges in unfamiliar situations.
The skills and experience were looking for:
Experience working within financial services risk and control projects either from a consulting banking or regulatory background
Broad understanding of requirements in relation to risk management and control frameworks in wholesale banks or similar
Experience working with senior stakeholders developing effective working relationships and providing insightful management information
Technical and practical experience related to non-financial risk management sustainability and/or controls in a wholesale banking context
A willingness to learn new skills and help develop and innovate new client propositions
A proven track record of working successfully with teams to deliver change projects including monitoring engagement progress and budgets
Experience managing small teams of junior staff and contributing to the development of your own and the teams technical acumen
Strong commercial awareness sound reporting skills and experience leading teams whilst working under your own initiative
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (prior experience in visual presentation and report writing is preferred) to effectively communicate key messages to different levels of stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure deal with ambiguity and be agile across a range of projects in financial services
Ability to apply good judgement during engagements and escalate issues appropriately
Strong attention to detail including robust analysis and presentation skills (Excel PowerPoint Power BI/Tableau)
